Mission 500 has announced that its fifth annual security industry softball game fundraiser will take place on Sunday, September 15.

Mission 500 has announced that its fifth annual security industry softball game fundraiser will take place on Sunday, September 15, 2019. This year’s event will be held from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Overpeck County Park. A HomeRun Derby will officially kick off the event, which will be held at 199 Challenger Road in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey.

“We are excited to celebrate our fifth anniversary this year,” said Tom Nolan, Director of Strategic Partnerships for Mission 500. “We are fortunate to have had amazing industry support over the past five years, and we look forward to reaching our $50,000 goal this year.”

Sponsorships are available between $500 and $5,000. Companies contributing more than $500 will have the option to designate one player to team and companies contributing more than $2,500 will have the option to designate two. Participation in the HomeRun Derby is a $15 donation.

In 2018, individuals from 40 companies (along with their children) participated and helped raise more than $48,000. “This event is such a great way to help those who are in severe poverty; who need our help,” said Ken Gould, Mission 500 Chairman and owner, KJG Consulting. “We encourage everyone to come out and have a great time with their colleagues and peers, all while supporting kids and families across the United States.”

In addition to participating in this event, security industry volunteers will participate in a Habitat for Humanity service project on Saturday, September 14, in Paterson, NJ.

Security industry professionals can also support Mission 500 in a variety of other ways, including volunteering to help with the Security 5K/2K at ISC West or making financial donations. All donations are tax-deductible and can be made with major credit cards and American Express loyalty points.
