Quanergy Showcases New Q-Track 3D LiDAR Solution at GSX 2023

Quanergy Solutions, Inc., a provider of 3D LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) solutions, is giving GSX attendees a first look at Q-Track™, a uniquely integrated solution that combines Quanergy’s long-range 3D LiDAR sensors with advanced perception software for unmatched proactive awareness in highly dynamic environments. Q-Track™ is also the industry’s first 3D LiDAR Security-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution, delivering greater financial flexibility in a single, easy to scale package.

“Q-Track represents a significant leap forward in 3D LiDAR solutions, changing the way we see the world but also how the world sees LiDAR in terms of accessibility,” said Enzo Signore, CEO, Quanergy. “Its capabilities are poised to redefine industries, from critical infrastructure to smart cities and smart space, by enabling the precise real-time decision making required to protect critical sites and save lives.”

The LiDAR sensors emit a low-power, eye-safe laser, measuring the time it takes for the laser to complete a round trip between the sensor and an object. The resulting aggregate data is then used to generate a 3D point cloud image, providing both spatial awareness and depth information to identify, classify, and track moving objects in real-time. The complementary perception software then derives useful insights from the available 3D point data to meet a number of security and business intelligence imperatives.

The resulting proactive awareness provided by Q-Track™ addresses the longstanding challenges faced by enterprise organizations’ security operations, including the reactive nature of conventional video systems and technologies, and the high cost and efficacy of manned guard services. With Q-Track™, Quanergy raises the bar by setting new benchmarks for event detection, object classification and tracking for a wide range of applications that allow users to see beyond what currently exists and reach for what could be and should be the new security technology imperative.

As the industry’s first 3D LiDAR SaaS solution, Q-Track™ is available via an annual subscription. This new subscription model allows deploying organizations to budget this advanced solution as an operating expense (OPEX), providing additional procurement and financial flexibility while deriving greater ROI from existing security budgets. The SaaS subscription provides Q-Track’s™ unmatched real-time capabilities in a single, easy to order package that includes 3D sensors, perception software license, support, maintenance, upgrades and warranty, for the entire duration of the subscription.

Quanergy is offering both the new SaaS and traditional capital expense (CAPEX) ownership models, ensuring that customers can choose the option that best aligns with their needs. Quanergy customers currently operating under the CAPEX model can easily transition to the SaaS model by contacting their sales representative. GSX attendees can see Q-Track™ live and in action at Quanergy booth #1738. The Quanergy team will also be on hand to answer questions regarding the Q-Track™ SaaS model and the company’s complete lineup of technology solutions.

  • Gaining a Competitive Edge

Ask most companies about their future technology plans and the answers will most likely include AI. Then ask how they plan to deploy it, and that is where the responses may start to vary. Every company has unique surveillance requirements that are based on market focus, scale, scope, risk tolerance, geographic area and, of course, budget. Those factors all play a role in deciding how to configure a surveillance system, and how to effectively implement technologies like AI. Read Now

  • 6 Ways Security Awareness Training Empowers Human Risk Management

Organizations are realizing that their greatest vulnerability often comes from within – their own people. Human error remains a significant factor in cybersecurity breaches, making it imperative for organizations to address human risk effectively. As a result, security awareness training (SAT) has emerged as a cornerstone in this endeavor because it offers a multifaceted approach to managing human risk. Read Now

  • The Stage is Set

The security industry spans the entire globe, with manufacturers, developers and suppliers on every continent (well, almost—sorry, Antarctica). That means when regulations pop up in one area, they often have a ripple effect that impacts the entire supply chain. Recent data privacy regulations like GDPR in Europe and CPRA in California made waves when they first went into effect, forcing businesses to change the way they approach data collection and storage to continue operating in those markets. Even highly specific regulations like the U.S.’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) can have international reverberations – and this growing volume of legislation has continued to affect global supply chains in a variety of different ways. Hexagon’s Geosystems presents a portable version of its Accur8vision detection system. A rugged all-in-one solution, the A8V MIND (Mobile Intrusion Detection) is designed to provide flexible protection of critical outdoor infrastructure and objects. Hexagon’s Accur8vision is a volumetric detection system that employs LiDAR technology to safeguard entire areas. Whenever it detects movement in a specified zone, it automatically differentiates a threat from a nonthreat, and immediately notifies security staff if necessary. Person detection is carried out within a radius of 80 meters from this device. Connected remotely via a portable computer device, it enables remote surveillance and does not depend on security staff patrolling the area. 3
