ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions, Traka Americas Donate Security Equipment to Give Kids the World Village

ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions, a provider of advanced security technology for the hospitality industry, alongside ASSA ABLOY Group Member, Traka Americas, have combined their resources and expertise in order to donate the latest in security innovation to the Give Kids The World Village in Kissimmee, Florida. A non-profit organization with a mission to provide critically ill children and their families with dream vacation experiences, Give Kids The World Village can now ensure heightened enjoyment and relaxation by guaranteeing enhanced safety and minimizing potential security risks.

Benefitting from a decades-long relationship with ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions, Give Kids The World Village has consistently been able to keep pace with evolving trends and standards in property security. This is due to both the proactive guidance of ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions technicians as well as the scalable design of the company’s various solution offerings. For the most recent donation, the Village was able to update each of its 166 villa door locks to VingCard Classic RFID in addition to multiple onsite venues, bringing the total locks installed to 216 alongside the installation of eight remote readers. By simply adding an RFID reader to existing locks and without requiring any hardware replacement, the Village is able to protect its guests with the latest in keycard data encryption technology. By leveraging RFID-enabled locks, guests staying at the Village not only gain enhanced peace of mind but can now also sidestep inconvenient keycard demagnetization issues that can leave them locked out of their units.

As part of the latest security upgrade project, VingCard Classic RFID’s adoption was also joined by the implementation of an advanced key management solution by Traka Americas. By using the platform, Village leadership and employees can maintain enhanced accountability over who has access to specific keys and physical assets. The solution is also able to monitor and track when a key is taken, used and returned, preventing lost or stolen keys from degrading into an increased security risk.
