Neurotechnology released FingerCell 3.0, a software development kit (SDK) for fingerprint recognition solutions that run on low-power, low-memory microcontrollers. FingerCell can extract a fingerprint template using less than 128KB of memory, enabling it to be used in compact devices that have limited on-board resources. It can also be used in various logon subsystems and small device components that can be integrated into cars and home electronics, among others.

MedixSafe introduced its new Key Care Cabinet offering. MedixSafe Key Care Cabinet enables more secure access because a single PIN can be easily compromised, dual, triple or biometric authentication credentials are required before access to the Key Care Cabinet is granted. It accommodates over 1,000 individual users and provides an audit trail history of up to 50,000 events.
