Mexico Banks Use Digital Video For Security, Safety

March Networks, a provider of intelligent IP video and business analysis applications, announced recently that Banco del Bajio S.A. has selected its digital video software and systems for more than 140 retail banking branches throughout Mexico.

Headquartered in Leon, Guanajuato, Banco del Bajio is the country's eighth largest financial institution with assets of more than $4 billion. It is associated with Banco Sabadell, the fourth largest bank in Spain.

Banco del Bajio is using the March Networks solution to monitor the safety and security of its customers, employees and assets. High quality video evidence helps speed fraud and theft investigations, while a live monitoring feature enables central monitoring staff to view events remotely on alarm. The solution includes enterprise-level video management platforms and supports advanced business analysis applications, such as automated teller machine (ATM) and teller transaction data integration. It also meets government-mandated recording and monitoring requirements.

"The March Networks solution has enabled our organization to quickly identify and address several incidents of theft and vandalism," said Jose de Jesus Rojas Vazquez, Manager of Corporate Security, Banco del Bajio. "We are also operating more effectively as a result of the remote video management. More importantly, we are confident we are providing the highest level of security for our clients and employees with the solution in place."

"We are pleased to include Banco del Bajio in our growing list of banking customers in Mexico and across Latin America," said Peter Strom, president and CEO of March Networks.
