ObjectVideo, ESP Group Partner To Provide Surveillance System For Norwegian Airports

ESP Group and ObjectVideo recently announced the companies have partnered to provide a complete video surveillance system with embedded video content analysis to 40 Norwegian airports. The framework contract win by ESP Group with Avinor, the owner and operator of Norway's airports, will leverage advanced video content analysis software from ObjectVideo to increase Norwegian airport and passenger security.

Under the contract, ESP Group will supply 40 Avinor-operated airports with SoIP Intelligence, its integrated video surveillance system that includes the ObjectVideo OnBoard digital signal processor-based suite of intelligent video software. This intelligent system will help strengthen airport security through rules-based event detection, classification, tracking and real-time alerting.

"With this system in place, all passengers will benefit from increased airport security when they travel," said Bjorn Bekkevold, CEO of ESP Group. "ESP Group is proud to have been chosen for such an important project, one that will help ensure the security of so many travelers across Norway."

SoIP Intelligence is built on ESP Group's innovative SoIP (Security over IP) technology platform. It is available as a managed solution where ESP Group owns, operates, maintains and services the systems from its specialized national operations center, delivering the full solution to the customer via the Internet.

"ESP Group offers its customers integrated solutions specifically designed to meet their unique needs, and its experience in airport security is evident in the advanced video surveillance system it is providing to Avinor. By including video content analysis as a central component of the solution, it is ensuring that Norway's airports are taking advantage of the latest in intelligent video technology," said Carlos Angeles, Europe manager for ObjectVideo. "We look forward to our continued collaboration with ESP Group as more and more customers with high-security environments look to include video analytics in their security operations."
