Samsung Techwin America Introduced At ISC East

Samsung Techwin has formed Samsung Techwin America, which will provide digital video security technology with an emphasis on customer service.

“We have combined Samsung Techwin’s 30 years of innovation with Techwin’s most powerful fourth-generation DSP engine,” said Bob McKee, vice president of North American sales. “This enables Samsung Techwin America to offer the most advanced digital security products available in the world.”

Samsung Techwin America’s new team members includes David Smith, executive vice president; Robert C. McKee, vice president of sales, North America; Henry Kim, senior product marketing manager; Cathy Farrington, director of sales operations; Pedro Duarte, vice president of Latin America sales for CCTV division; Steve Donovan, northeast regional sales manager,; Mark McCormack, central regional manager; J.C. McKitterick, southeast regional manager and Bill Wendlandt, western regional sales manager

Samsung Techwin America offers 15 new products which includes cameras and DVRs.

“With our fourth-generation, proprietary advanced DSP technology available in most of our cameras, we are able to offer state-of-the-art technology in cameras of all price range,” McKee said.

Samsung Techwin America developed and owns two core DSP technologies, the SV-IV and the W-IV, enabling the company to offer products with advanced optical and image processing capabilities.

Nighttime operation under low-light conditions depends upon effective noise reduction and the cameras with SV-IV and W-IV have 3-D digital noise filtering system. Three of these products include the SHC-745, a ½-inch ultra low light, high-resolution camera; the SPD-3750, a ¼-inch high-performance, WDR 37x optical zoom PTZ dome camera with an auto-tracking feature; and the SVR-1680 16-channel DVR.
