Numerex Showcases Cellular Alarm Communicator
Numerex Corp., a provider of full-service, secure machine-to-machine (M2M) network services and solutions, recently announced the Uplink Model 2550 full-event reporting cellular alarm communicator for residential and commercial use. The company showcased the product at ISC East.
Operating on Numerex's ISO27001 secure network, the ETL Listed 2550 transmits full event alarm signals wirelessly when the phone line is compromised or unavailable for any reason.
The Uplink 2550 features full event reporting and line-fault detection and is designed for use as a back-up or primary communicator. Offering dial-capture, two inputs, three outputs, trouble reporting and universal compatibility with almost many alarm systems and central stations, the 2550 communicates with central stations in Contact ID or SIA formats to any industry standard receiver, or over the internet to an IP receiver.
"Numerex is committed to providing superior security services and solutions and our continued development efforts to expand our Uplink product line exemplifies our commitment to security dealers that we are working to provide them the broadest solutions at the best prices," said Michael Marett, CEO of Numerex. "The 2550 delivers on that commitment to security dealers as we strive to help them find ways to increase their monthly recurring revenue while keeping an eye on their bottom line."
Uplink's comprehensive online dealer portal offers easy access to information and administrative functions, including account management, service plan options, billing history, event notification options, event histories and the ability to query input and radio status. Installation is fast and intuitive, with real-time phone or Web activations and no additional programming or Central Station hardware required. Uplink also ensures continued reliability with automatic or on-demand daily or weekly testing.
