Milestone, OnSSI Announce Partner Agreement

On-Net Surveillance Systems Inc. (OnSSI) and Milestone Systems today announced a partnering agreement between the two market category leaders for open platform IP video management software.

OnSSI and Milestone have signed an ‘ingredient OEM’ (Original Engineering Manufacturer) agreement, where the Milestone XProtect IP software platform will act as one of the recording engines for OnSSI’s Ocularis Video Management Platform, with the Milestone API and OnSSI’s Ocularis facilitating the integration.

Market analysts like IMS Research and IPvideoMarket.info have found both of these companies to be leaders in the open platform IP video software market for several years. The cooperation of these two companies represents a strong relationship that will enhance the offerings available to the security industry.

“This collaboration reflects OnSSI’s and Milestone’s commitment to open standards, and the added value that end-users can derive from the integration of industry leading applications. The combination of our technologies is an example of our open-architecture platform and our strategy to enable the delivery of the best available solutions to the market,” said Gadi Piran, president and CTO of OnSSI.

“Milestone is the open platform company within IP video software and OnSSI has perfect synergy with the same non-proprietary approach. Our solutions give partners and customers the widest choice in best-of-breed components, whether it's using exactly the right network cameras or integrating with multiple analytics, retail Point-of-Sale, or other security systems,” said Lars Thinggaard, president and CEO at Milestone Systems.

Milestone and OnSSI IP video solutions can be found internationally in thousands of installations. Together these constitute a robust base to expand upon, with software solutions that are designed for future growth and integrations with the newest technologies.
