Greenpeace: SAMSUNG Continues to be Environmental Leader

SAMSUNG | GVI announced Wednesday that SAMSUNG Electronics has increased its score from 6.9 to 7.1 in the Greenpeace International "Guide to Greener Electronics" by "committing to reduce its absolute emissions of greenhouse gasses, despite growth in the company's sales." GVI Security is the strategic partner of Samsung Electronics throughout the Americas. The company offers the complete Samsung Electronics line of products and integrated security solutions which enable intelligent video surveillance.

"We continue to do our part to add to the SAMSUNG legacy in environmental policies," adds Steve Walin, GVI CEO. "Not only is environmental protection practicing good corporate stewardship but, more and more, customers are requiring it. Therefore, we use recycled paper on all of our business cards, catalogs, brochures, packaging and other paper goods used in production. Since Samsung Electronics already complies to RoHS (Restriction on Hazardous Substances) directives in production, a growing consideration of more and more companies in the Americas, we can assure our customers that our solutions already meet such standards."

Snap One has announced its popular Luma x20 family of surveillance products now offers even greater security and privacy for home and business owners across the globe by giving them full control over integrators’ system access to view live and recorded video. According to Snap One Product Manager Derek Webb, the new “customer handoff” feature provides enhanced user control after initial installation, allowing the owners to have total privacy while also making it easy to reinstate integrator access when maintenance or assistance is required. This new feature is now available to all Luma x20 users globally. “The Luma x20 family of surveillance solutions provides excellent image and audio capture, and with the new customer handoff feature, it now offers absolute privacy for camera feeds and recordings,” Webb said. “With notifications and integrator access controlled through the powerful OvrC remote system management platform, it’s easy for integrators to give their clients full control of their footage and then to get temporary access from the client for any troubleshooting needs.”
