S2 Security’s Web-Based Systems To Support Mercury Security Hardware

S2 Security, manufacturer of the S2 NetBox and S2 Enterprise integrated IP-based physical security systems, recently announced the availability of software to allow users of legacy physical security systems running on Mercury Security hardware to easily migrate to and expand with S2's Web-based systems.

S2 will discuss the Mercury integration at Booth No. 9109 during ISC West.

Security managers and organizations dissatisfied with legacy systems' capabilities and support, or who are looking to get new life from their client/server card access systems, now will be able to transition easily to the S2 NetBox or Enterprise systems without the need to re-invest in new field hardware.

Users of legacy physical security systems will gain immediate access to S2's newer, third generation IP-based physical security technology, coupled with the highly responsive customer service and support that are the hallmark of the S2 Security brand.

"We are answering the call from security system owners who are unhappy with the technology constraints and lack of support that plague their legacy systems," said John L. Moss, CEO of S2 Security. "Security managers and organizations want advanced systems that cost less to own and operate, are truly easy to use and manage, and are supported by the manufacturer. Our support for Mercury Security's hardware opens the door for those companies to make the move to 3G technology, keep their existing hardware in place, and experience the superior products, service and support that S2 Security is known for."

S2 Security's products are advanced network appliances that implement integrated physical security for facilities and campuses of any scale. Moving to S2's IP-based physical security technology gives users access to advanced technology that supports complete mobility, reduces the time required to operate their systems and offers the benefits of a network appliance that does not require constant updates or protection from Windows viruses.

S2 Security's line of IP network-ready products integrates access control, alarm monitoring, video surveillance, and temperature monitoring. Users of S2 systems require  a common Web browser to use even the largest S2 Security system.

"We are excited to work with the industry veteran team at S2 Security," said Frank Gasztonyi, co-founder and CTO of Mercury Security Corporation. "We believe that S2 Security's unique value proposition and market approach provides Mercury with another opportunity to exhibit the power and flexibility of our open controller platform."

This new feature is now available to all Luma x20 users globally. “The Luma x20 family of surveillance solutions provides excellent image and audio capture, and with the new customer handoff feature, it now offers absolute privacy for camera feeds and recordings,” Webb said. “With notifications and integrator access controlled through the powerful OvrC remote system management platform, it’s easy for integrators to give their clients full control of their footage and then to get temporary access from the client for any troubleshooting needs.”
