Genetec Adds Chief Operating Officer

Bill Nash has joined Genetec in the role of chief operating officer. Nash will augment Genetec's existing executive team with his experience in successfully mentoring fast-growing high tech companies, and he will help formulate policies and procedures needed to proactively manage the growth Genetec is anticipating for the coming years.

With many years of operational and management expertise, Nash, a chartered administrator, comes to Genetec with an impressive track record of driving operational results for various successful companies. Prior to joining Genetec, Nash was the COO of Eicon Technology Corp. where he was instrumental in growing the company from four to 750 employees with revenues of $175 million. He subsequently worked for several technology companies and served on the board of directors for the Société d'assurance automobile du Québec, Quebec's government-operated automobile insurance agency. During his tenure, the board oversaw the successful financial and operational restructuring of the corporation. The SAAQ has revenues of $1 billion and manages assets in excess of $8 billion.

Genetec is a global provider of IP license plate recognition, video surveillance and access control solutions to markets such as transportation, education, retail, gaming and government.
