AMAG Technology Demonstrates Symmetry Homeland V7

AMAG Technology, an access control, IP video and intrusion management solution provider, will be demonstrating its Symmetry Homeland V7 Security Management System at ISC West.

Symmetry Homeland V7 is designed for government and military organizations needing a security management system that meets government requirements and certifications.

“Symmetry Homeland V7 is AMAG’s next generation security management system created specifically for government customers,” said AMAG Technology, Senior Vice president of sales and marketing, Matt Barnette.  “The software meets all the necessary government requirements such as FIPS 201, FIPS 140-2, FIPS 197, SP800-116, DIACAP and FICAM.  It’s also compatible with the card requirements mandated by the government including PIV, CAC, TWIC and FRAC.”

Using the new look and feel of Microsoft Windows 7 ribbon bar, Symmetry Homeland V7 also supports AMAG’s new Symmetry Intrusion Management module.  Symmetry Intrusion Management allows customers to have access control and intrusion management in one system.

Programming and managing the system is simple as it is all controlled from either the Symmetry SMS software or from AMAG’s new Javelin S884 contactless smart card keypad reader with multi-line display.   Users can control access to an area or building depending upon the current area status and card holder permissions.  Intrusion areas can be armed and disarmed in a variety of ways from simple code only operation to smartcard plus PIN code.  If security levels change due to threat conditions or time of day, an area can be changed from the convenience of code only operation to the higher security level of smartcard plus PIN code. 

The Javelin S884 smart card reader with multi-line LCD display can operate as a standard access control reader or as a fully functional, intelligent alarm keypad with flexible intrusion alarm management capabilities with Symmetry Homeland V7.  It is designed for use with the Symmetry M2150 range of controllers and reads NXP MIFARE and MIFARE DESFire smart cards, as well as PIV, CAC, TWIC and FRAC cards.

The new security management system eliminates the use of dongles and will be shipped with a software license registration document.

Symmetry Homeland V7 is currently available in a limited release for government and military organizations.
