Blue Ridge Networks Renews Contract with Port Authority of N.Y. and N.J.

Blue Ridge Networks, a provider of cybersecurity solutions to government and commercial enterprises, recently announced that the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) has awarded the company a three-year renewal contract to provide secure remote access to more than 60 offices and divisions comprised of employees, vendors, and contractors that access the PANYNJ.  Blue Ridge Networks has been working with PANYNJ since the fall of 2001 to deliver products and services that eliminate network vulnerabilities and prevent malware from accessing the network.

“Ports are the backbone to many of the activities in our daily lives, providing goods and services from around the country and the globe,” said Jerry Edgerton, president of Federal for Blue Ridge Networks.  “An early adopter of our solutions, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey understood the need for protection against cyber threats, which have grown exponentially in sophistication and density over the past decade.  We are pleased to be able expand our cybersecurity services in support of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.”

Blue Ridge Networks will implement its new EdgeGuard product suite and associated managed services, which includes installation and help desk support for all users.  The company will ensure secure environments for users accessing the network whether at the office or from another Port Authority office, from home, or any public computer when traveling.
