M. Malia & Associates Inc. Appoints Field Design Coordinator for Asia Pacific Region

M. Malia & Associates Inc., a consultant and designer of professional security systems, announces the appointment of a new field design coordinator for the Asia Pacific market. Effective immediately, Eric Yu will transfer from his position at North American Video, where he supported the engineering design team, to assume his new role at M. Malia & Associates.

“Eric has shown exceptional skill in his past endeavors addressing the challenges of systems design in a network-based environment. Having a representative based in Hong Kong allows M. Malia & Associates to greatly enhance their ability to service clients in this fast-growing region,” said Michael J. Malia, president.

In his new role as field design coordinator, for which he will be based in Hong Kong, Yu will use his engineering and design experiences to manage projects in the Asia Pacific region. He will work with architects and owners in developing comprehensive design for video surveillance and security systems.

Yu earned his Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. In addition to English, he also speaks Cantonese, Mandarin and Japanese. Prior to joining M. Malia & Associates and NAV, he was a system integration specialist for Honeywell Security for the East Asia region and has held engineering positions with a number of engineering firms.
