Axis Introduces New High Performance Video Encoder Solution
In conjunction with the IFSEC show in Europe, Axis today announced a new high-performance, mission-critical, analog-to-network, video encoder solution for large surveillance installations with the six-channel AXIS Q7436 Video Encoder Blade and the complementary AXIS Q7920 Video Encoder Chassis.
AXIS Q7436 Video Encoder Blade supports up to 60 frames per second of video and features noise reduction, enhanced sharpness, and optimized contrast to further enhance the video quality from the customer’s analog cameras. The six-channel blade also supports PTZ over coax control, which is a great feature to save money and time on installation since a separate cable is no longer needed for PTZ control and intelligent video.
The rack mountable AXIS Q7920 Video Encoder Chassis is one of the industry’s highest-density encoder chassis with support for up to 84 analog cameras and provides power and network redundancy with four RJ45 ports and four SFP (small form factor pluggable) ports.
