Former TSA Employee Arrested for Making Terrorist Threats on Anniversary of American Tragedy

TSA Employee Arrested9/11…the day that no American will ever forget. Most of us remember exactly where we were and what we were doing at that exact moment on September 11, 2001 when two planes were hijacked and crashed into the Twin Towers as well as the Pentagon, creating the all too familiar fatal terrorist scenes.

For 11 years, “we” have not forgotten, and today is no different, marking the 12th year of the national tragedy. While  moments of silence, vigils and many other types of memorial events take place across the nation, former TSA worker, Nna Alpha Onuoha, age 29, is spending his time with the police. Only Onuoha isn’t there for support and a time of mourning our lost, quite the contrary, in fact. He has been arrested for making threats related to this day, the anniversary of 9/11.

On Tuesday, September 10, 2013, hours after quitting his job with TSA, federal authorities arrested Onuoha after examining a website that contains photos of Onouha posing with crosses and several letters filled with religious references along with an August 25, 2013 posting, stating that he would release a message on September 11, 2013 that America “will be reduced to nothing.”

As part of this ongoing investigation, the FBI spent September 11, 2013 searching Onuoha’s minivan as well as his empty apartment, finding only a note containing threats about today being the anniversary of 9/11.

The LAPD’s bomb squad has inspected a package addressed to another TSA employee that was supposedly left at TSA headquarters in LAX when Onuoha quit his job. Nothing harmful was found except an 8-page letter written by none other than Onuoha himself expressing his disdain for the United States.

There has also been an amazon.com discovery of a 424-page book entitled, “The End of America: The End of the World,” crediting Onuoha as the author. This self-published book’s description states that it is “based on the real-life experiences, thoughts and observations of an African immigrant, beginning from Africa and ending in America.”

Federal officials also suspect that Onuoha made two calls to Los Angeles International Airport warning the receiver of the call that he would “be watching” to see if authorities would evacuate the terminals as he instructed. The airport was searched, and after nothing was found, it was cleared.

Unfortunately, history has time and time again expressed to America that “we” can’t take even the threat of one single person for granted. As an American, it’s really sad that “we” can’t have one day…a 24-hour period of time to mourn, remember and celebrate the lives that were lost on September 11, 2001.
