Altronix Showcases New Pace Long Range Ethernet Adapters

Altronix is displaying its new line of Pace Long Range Ethernet Adapters at ASIS 2014. New Pace models include receivers with one, 4, 8 and 16 ports, and full duplex 100Mpbs at distances up to 500m over CAT5e without repeaters. The one port receiver accommodates single twisted pair (UTP) cabling up to 150m.

“Our new Pace multi-port 100Mbps full duplex models provide versatile system scalability for deploying today’s advanced IP devices over longer distances,” said Alan Forman, president, Altronix. “The ability to go five times beyond standard Ethernet distance without repeaters reduces installation labor and equipment costs.”

Pace enables the placement of edge devices at distances up to 500m over CAT5e without repeaters. With single twisted pair (UTP) cabling, distances of up to 150m can be achieved – that’s 50% greater than standard Ethernet. Pace Long Range Ethernet Adapters are PoE and PoE+ compliant, and can accommodate Hi-PoE (60W).

As with all Altronix products, Pace Long Range Ethernet Adapters are made in the U.S.A. and backed by a lifetime warranty.

    A8V MIND

Hexagon’s Geosystems presents a portable version of its Accur8vision detection system. A rugged all-in-one solution, the A8V MIND (Mobile Intrusion Detection) is designed to provide flexible protection of critical outdoor infrastructure and objects. Hexagon’s Accur8vision is a volumetric detection system that employs LiDAR technology to safeguard entire areas. Whenever it detects movement in a specified zone, it automatically differentiates a threat from a nonthreat, and immediately notifies security staff if necessary. Person detection is carried out within a radius of 80 meters from this device. Connected remotely via a portable computer device, it enables remote surveillance and does not depend on security staff patrolling the area.
