On the Fringe of Something Exciting

You already know there are great things in store at this year's ISC West in Las Vegas. Press releases are flying out of corporate offices announcing new and tuned up security solutions.

I'm going to mention a few to whet your appetite for the tradeshow.

Orion Entrance Control:
OBSG-WAVE Turnstile — This Optical Barrier Swing Glass turnstile integrated with the Safran MorphoWAVE biometric reader. The OBSG-WAVE is a beautiful turnstile that captures fingerprints in just one contactless movement or "wave." The turnstile yields one person per second; perfect for high traffic lobby security.

"We're excited to share our latest turnstiles including integrations with Safran Morpho, IBC, and Blue Line Technology as well as our Infinity Remote Lane Control Software technology," said Orion ECI President and Founder Steve Caroselli.

3xLogic:
VIGIL V250 Hybrid NVR<\n>The VIGIL V250 Hybrid is a 2U chassis hybrid NVR with an 8-port POE switch and 16 analog looping inputs. This NVR comes standard with a 2TB hard drive, and VIGIL Server and Client software. This new NVR provides the perfect replacement solution for aging analog systems.

Sony:
SNC—VB770 is Sony's newest 4K network camera, model SNC-VB770, offers the highest sensitivity in its class - under 0.004lx, expandable to ISO 100-409600. The new model combines ultra-high sensitivity with 4K resolution and advanced networking capabilities to give video professionals more flexibility to capture details even in extreme low-light conditions. The camera achieves high resolution and sensitivity, in addition to low noise due to its image processing and full-frame 35mm Exmor sensor.

Nortek Security & Control:
2GIG IP Video Solutions—complete with indoor and outdoor mini dome camera and indoor WiFi camera, as well as a feature-rich NVR for a range of new surveillance solutions for the security market. This suite of products offers a mobile app, at no extra cost, for remote viewing and playback of video on iOS and Android devices. "The line of 2GIG video products was designed to provide dealers with attractive and sleek-looking interior and exterior-grade cameras for residential customers seeking high-definition recording and playback, both at home and on-the-go," said Rob Halligan, group vice president of marketing, Nortek Security & Control.

There is more to see, I promise, and I can't wait to spend three days walking the show floor. I might need some new shoes.
