IoT At ISC

IoT At ISC

We are so close to the first day of ISC West! Companies from all around the world are preparing to set up their booths to show off their newest innovations. The devices that have always interested me the most are those that are able to incorporate the newest abilities of the internet to secure our business, retail facilities, financial organizations and homes. Below you’ll find the IoT devices that I’m most excited to see at ISC West this year.

RemoteLock 6i

With the internet controlled RemoteLock, you can lock or unlock your door remotely. Using the device complete with keypad and traditional turn lock, you can assign codes to certain people and receive text alerts when the codes are used, keeping you more aware of who is entering through the door. You can also create and delete codes right from your mobile device or computer. You can even create temporary codes that quick working after a set amount of time.  You can use your existing WIFI network to use your new RemoteLock, no additional provisions are needed to work with the lock.

FIBARO SWIPE

FIBARO SWIPE is a unique gesture control pad that enables homeowners to control their various smart home devices, including to arm and disarm home security alarms, with simple hand motions. SWIPE recognizes six hand gestures – up, down, left, right, circle to the left and circle to the right – which can be assigned and used to control and Z-Wave smart home product. With a variety of mounting options, homeowners can keep SWIPE in plain sight, or conceal it behind drywall. Featuring advanced gesture control technology, SWIPE offers users a new way to interact with home security features in the smart home.

BeOn Home Light Bulbs

BeOn Home’s smart light bulbs are the perfect solutions for home security. The automatic light bulbs have removable sensors that track your home lighting habits. When you are away from your home, you can either control the bulbs with an application on your mobile device or just turn your switches to the on position and the light bulbs will turn on and off based on your normal lighting routine throughout the day.

With the lighting system, you could potentially stop break-ins before they happen, just by appearing to be home. They bulbs have the ability to sync up with your doorbell, as well. So if someone rings a doorbell, you can program a number of lights to turn on and in what order. The bulbs can also be connected to smoke alarms, the lights will turn on to help you get out of your house safely in the event of a fire.

Do you have any suggestions for the IoT devices I should seek out at ISC West this year? Let me know!

    A8V MIND

Hexagon’s Geosystems presents a portable version of its Accur8vision detection system. A rugged all-in-one solution, the A8V MIND (Mobile Intrusion Detection) is designed to provide flexible protection of critical outdoor infrastructure and objects. Hexagon’s Accur8vision is a volumetric detection system that employs LiDAR technology to safeguard entire areas.
