Gas Station Security Footages Surfaces of US Swimmers

Gas Station Security Footage Surfaces of U.S. Swimmers

Over the weekend, Ryan Lochte and other Olympic U.S. swimmers told the media that they had been robbed at gunpoint in a taxi bound for the Olympic Village by individuals posing as armed police officers. Since that statement, the Brazilian police have been on the hunt for evidence that proves the event never happened.

On Thursday, August 18, a Brazilian gas station released security footage of the four swimmers at the establishment. The video, which originally aired on Globo TV Brazil, shows Lochte, Jack Conger, Gunnar Bentz and Jimmy Feigen at the station on Sunday night.

the owner of the station says the four men caused damage at the facility and even urinated on the walls of the station before trying to leave.

In the video, the four men can be seen entering a taxi before they are asked to get out of the car by gas station security. The swimmers then sit on the curb as they talk to security.

According to Globo, security used a gun to make sure the swimmers would not leave before the arrival of the police.
