IC Realtime appoints Director of Government Practice & Law Enforcement

Robert Mitchell is a Security Subject Matter Expert who will lead IC Realtime’s enhanced efforts to deliver actionable intelligence solutions to the Homeland Security, Battlefield Interoperability, Intelligence Gathering and Special Events sectors

IC Realtime today announced Robert P. Mitchell as Director of Government Practice & Law Enforcement Division.  In this newly-created division and role, Mitchell will work shoulder-to-shoulder with government officials and security agencies to deliver actionable intelligence on a unified platform (video surveillance, social media, cellular, radio, drone detection and more).

Mitchell is charged with the task of further developing direct government relationships within the Homeland Security, Battlefield Interoperability and Intelligence Gathering sectors.  He will also lead IC Realtime’s Special Operations Group (part of the company’s new Government Practice & Law Enforcement Division), which provides a range of solutions for customers, from research and development to field implementation.  The Group will work closely with various government agencies, law enforcement agencies and special events venues (such as automobile racing, public exhibitions and sports arenas) to create Overwatch surveillance.

A key area of focus for Mitchell will be in delivering rapid deployment surveillance systems, for example at live event sites, which are often understaffed.  In these situations, IC Realtime will provide the project management and equipment necessary for the event.  (This November, IC Realtime provided the rapid deployment surveillance for the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.)

Commenting on Mitchell’s appointment, IC Realtime CEO Matt Sailor said, “IC Realtime is committed to providing government and law enforcement agencies with the tools and expertise necessary in this ever-changing landscape of security and counter-terrorism.  With IC Realtime’s technology, tactical expertise and connections in the government and law enforcement sectors, the company is poised to ‘lead from the front’ to better protect the American public, by expertly equipping those on the front lines. Mitchell has a persistent track record of developing growth in these areas.”

Mitchell is a security subject matter expert (SME).  He possesses over 30-years of safety and security-related design in hardware, network infrastructure, assessment, audit, implementation, and executive protection.  He has vast knowledge of business development and security and network matters in citywide surveillance, fixed and vehicle CCTV security devices.

For video analytics manufacturer AGENT Vi, Mitchell headed-up migration of the Israel-based company to the North and South American marketplaces. As sales VP for citywide surveillance-specialized company Pivot3, Mitchell brought the company from its build-to-sell mode to the marketplace, with notable project successes being Green Zone Video Storage Iraq and citywide surveillance systems for Los Angeles County; Long Beach, California and Trenton, New Jersey.

“For years, manufacturers have pumped out lots of cameras and recording equipment, but have not invested the time or resources to develop applications that make it easier for law enforcement. This is an area in which IC Realtime is going to lead by innovating and developing adaptable equipment for use by law enforcement in real-world scenarios,” says Mitchell.

Mitchell is based in IC Realtime’s Pompano Beach, FL headquarters. He can be reached at robertmitchell@icrealtime.com and by phone at 631.455.2001.
