Vanderbilt Provides Cost effective Expanded Access Control with Allegion Integration

Vanderbilt announced the integration of its award-winning lite blue® and bright blue® access control solutions with Allegion's Schlage® NDE Series wireless locks with ENGAGE™ technology.

The integration between Vanderbilt and Allegion provides joint customers with a cost-effective solution to meet evolving security needs while adding more options for organizations seeking streamlined installation and administration. Integrators will also see increased compatibility between the systems during the installation process.

“Our partnership with Vanderbilt allows both companies to collaborate to deliver solutions that are beneficial to both the reseller channel and our customers,” said Derek Ommert, OEM Channel Manager, Allegion. “We continue to explore new enhancements in wireless access control that deliver greater value, are compatible with a wide range of software platforms and enhance protection of an organization's employees, customers and assets.”

The NDE Series is developed specifically for facilities that want to transition to electronic credentials that work with access management software, such as Vanderbilt's lite blue® and bright blue® solutions. The locks are ideal for the small-to-medium-sized enterprise organizations, and are designed for interior office doors, common area doors and sensitive storage spaces.

“Vanderbilt continues to expand the horizon of access control by offering affordable products that don’t compromise on quality and ease of use,” said Kyle Chown, Commercial Division Manager, Chown Security, a Vanderbilt Certified Dealer. “Chown Hardware is proud to be a Vanderbilt partner and looks forward to offering this new product integration, which enhances our ability to bring added value to our customers.”

Vanderbilt’s bright blue® Intelligent Access Management System allows stakeholders to access, monitor and manage their access control systems using any computer with Internet access, while managing up to 32 doors and 5,000 cardholders. bright blue® is ideal for small- to medium-sized businesses that require a reliable, scalable and feature-rich access management solution. The lite blue® Web-based Access Control Solution is designed for small businesses with two to eight doors, and allows for simple system expansion as business needs increase. Both systems are easy to configure and use, and integrate with standalone and networked locks, both wired and wireless.

“Allegion is a long-standing Vanderbilt technology partner, and this new integration gives our channel partners the ability to offer a wireless lock at a very competitive price point,” said Mitchell Kane, President, Vanderbilt. “When working with customers of varying sizes and with different needs, it's critical to deliver scalable solutions that offer the flexibility to upgrade as business requirements evolve. We are dedicated to helping our customers and partners navigate the toughest security challenges by streamlining access management and providing continued support.”
