Resideo Completes 2 New Recent Acquisitions

Resideo Technologies Inc. has completed two new recent acquisitions; the first was the acquisition of Teknique, a leader in edge-based, artificial-intelligence-enabled video camera development and solutions, and the second, BTX Technologies, a leading distributor of professional audio, video, data communications and broadcast equipment.

Founded in 2004 and based in Auckland, New Zealand, Teknique’s platform enables computer vision solutions and edge artificial intelligence for leading global brands and Fortune 500 companies across a range of industries.

"Resideo is focused on creating products that turn data into innovative solutions and the Oclea by Teknique platform will help lead Resideo into new applications with next-generation video and sensor technology," said Scott Ziffra senior vice president, Engineering & Product Management at Resideo. “With the acquisition, Resideo looks to advance our security video strategy, expand our video product portfolio and accelerate our focus on providing actionable intelligence for our customers.”

BTX Technologies, Inc., based in Hawthorne, NY, was founded in 1967. In addition to being a leading distributor of professional audio, video, data communications and broadcast equipment, BTX also offers a private brand portfolio, including the Book IT Room Scheduling Solution, holds patents for connectivity products and supplies manufacturing services for custom broadcast fiber assemblies, panels and more. With warehouse locations in New York and Utah, BTX serves customers across North America and will be part of Resideo's ADI Global Distribution business.

"Expansion at ADI is a key part of Resideo's long-term strategy, and we continue to make targeted investments to increase our market reach and accelerate growth in our distribution business," said Jay Geldmacher, president and CEO of Resideo. "In line with our growth strategy, BTX broadens our offering across adjacent categories and through private brands while expanding our customer and supplier relationships. BTX marks the sixth acquisition for our distribution business since 2020."
