Let's Get to Work

You are standing at the conference center doors just waiting to get into the exhibit hall. I know you are because I’m standing next to you. This week at ISC West has been three years in the making. Last year was encouraging, and here we are waiting for the Big Show.

Banking on the odds, I believe this is the year, again. Everything I’ve seen and heard tells me the crowds are back in Las Vegas. From their website, ISC West is advertising 460 exhibitors. Yeah, sure, that is down a bit from 2019, but show organizers are calling for more than 20,000 attendees. It is up from the last three years.

It is all about regrowth, and it’s time to get back to work.

So, who is going to the show? Security professionals who want to expand their network and who want to explore innovative technologies, products and solutions. If you are a supplier, you want to have a look at the latest products, service, and of course, technology.

Two big name sponsors are making this possible. The Security Industry Association is the premier sponsor. They have been around since 1969 and are an association for global security solution providers. SIA collaborates with members (1,100 members) that manufacture, specify, distribute, install and support electronic and physical security products.

The corporate sponsor is Axis Communications. They are a Swedish manufacturer of network cameras, access control and network audio devices for the physical security and video surveillance industries.

Again, more than 460 exhibitors, setting up shop at the largest converged industry trade show in the United States, and this is the only place where you will see a united front in the security channel.

Take a deep breath, the tradeshow doors are about to swing open. Let’s get back to work.
