Teledyne FLIR Launches First Family of Visible Security Cameras with AI at ISC West 2023

Teledyne FLIR, part of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, recently announced it will be exhibiting at the ISC West trade show from March 29-31, 2023 at the Venetian Expo in booth 34061, where it will be showcasing its new cameras and multilayered security solutions. FLIR is expanding its broad portfolio of visible cameras by launching its first family of visible security cameras with artificial intelligence (AI), the FLIR Quasar™ Premium Mini-Dome AI, which is making its debut at ISC West.

The FLIR Quasar Premium Mini-Dome AI is available in three models—5 MP, 4K Wide and 4K Narrow— and all options feature 12 unique analytics to detect people, vehicles, objects, attributes, and events. For the 4K Narrow option, the AI detection distances are 152 m (499 ft) for vehicle, 71 m (233 ft) for person, and 25 m (82 ft) for face. Both 4K models also have additional lens options: varifocal 4.5 to 11 mm (40.4° to 110° HFOV) as well as varifocal 11 to 28 mm (15.5° to 38.5° HFOV) for longer distances and wider fields of view.

Attendees who stop by the FLIR booth will see the FLIR R-290 radar paired with the fixed mount FLIR FH-Series ID camera and pan-tilt-zoom FLIR DX-Series camera, both of which feature industry-leading thermal sensors and 4K imagers. Together, the radar and cameras substantially improve early threat detection beyond the perimeter fence line, intruder tracking and outdoor area protection. Inside the booth, security personnel will see additional examples of how FLIR thermal sensors enhance situational awareness and intrusion detection even in the toughest conditions, such as total darkness, light fog, light rain, and snow. For enterprise applications, security professionals will see how FLIR visible cameras integrated with FLIR United VMS provide evidentiary-class video monitoring and simplify video operations for superior entry/interior area protection.

FLIR is also proud to share that Maria Cambria, VP of Sales Enablement for Solutions, will have the honor of being recognized into the Security Sales & Integration Industry Hall of Fame (HoF). The HoF extends this honor to those who have made significant contributions in the security industry and demonstrated a track record of protecting people, property and assets. Over Maria’s 20+ years in this industry, she has formed long lasting relationships, always put the customer first, and has embodied what it means to work in an industry that “saves lives and livelihoods.” Maria will be officially inducted at ISC West on March 29 at 2:00 pm on The Bridge Stage, booth 25063.

To meet with the FLIR team and to see FLIR’s latest solutions for system integrators and end users at ISC West, stop by booth 34061.

Snap One has announced its popular Luma x20 family of surveillance products now offers even greater security and privacy for home and business owners across the globe by giving them full control over integrators’ system access to view live and recorded video. According to Snap One Product Manager Derek Webb, the new “customer handoff” feature provides enhanced user control after initial installation, allowing the owners to have total privacy while also making it easy to reinstate integrator access when maintenance or assistance is required. This new feature is now available to all Luma x20 users globally. “The Luma x20 family of surveillance solutions provides excellent image and audio capture, and with the new customer handoff feature, it now offers absolute privacy for camera feeds and recordings,” Webb said. “With notifications and integrator access controlled through the powerful OvrC remote system management platform, it’s easy for integrators to give their clients full control of their footage and then to get temporary access from the client for any troubleshooting needs.”
