LVT Launches AI Deterrence System for Building Perimeters

The new wall-mounted Live Unit Surround solution offers automated threat detection and multi-camera coverage for comprehensive site security.

LVT has introduced Live Unit Surround, a building-mounted security and deterrence system designed to provide full-site coverage. The system serves as a fixed-location complement to the company’s mobile and pole-mounted units.

The Surround system features a modular design, supporting between two and four heads per system with up to three cameras per head. The hardware is designed for mounting on walls or roofs, utilizing a non-penetrating roof mount to facilitate rapid installation without damaging the building structure.

According to company officials, the system was developed to provide visibility for sites where deploying multiple mobile units is not feasible due to space or budget constraints. The solution integrates with a centralized hub to deliver a compact security footprint.

The system includes distributed deterrents and customizable camera configurations tailored to specific environments. The units also integrate with existing access control tools, such as GuardGate, to assist with situational awareness and event response.

While the system utilizes artificial intelligence for threat detection and deterrence, all AI features remain optional to allow users control over data management.

The product is scheduled for release in the second quarter of 2026.
