Parking garage with security grills from TruCycle

Clopay Launches High-Cycle Commercial Door and Grille Solutions

New springless TruCycle systems offer increased durability for high-traffic environments like parking garages and logistics centers.

Clopay Corporation has introduced two new closure solutions designed for continuous-traffic applications: the TruCycle Service Door and the TruCycle Security Grille. These systems are engineered to provide high-cycle durability for environments such as loading docks, retail security and parking structures.

Both the door and the grille utilize a springless design. By removing springs (the most common point of mechanical failure in industrial closures), the systems aim to maximize uptime and reduce long-term maintenance requirements.

The TruCycle series features a direct-drive operator and a motor-mounted variable frequency drive. This setup allows for precision control and soft start-and-stop functionality, which decreases wear on the hardware.

The service door model is available in both standard and insulated versions. The insulated model is designed to meet strict energy efficiency requirements, featuring an air infiltration sealing package that reduces air leakage by up to 94% compared to standard models. It is rated to withstand static wind loads up to 50 PSF.

The security grille is constructed with heavy-duty aluminum links and rods. It is intended for areas requiring high visibility and ventilation without sacrificing security.

Both products include the APEX Core SmartController, a compact interface featuring an LCD screen for electronic limit setting and status messaging. For safety, the systems come standard with NEMA 4X-rated photo eye sensors that immediately reverse the door or grille if the light beam is interrupted.

The TruCycle Service Door includes a three-year or 500,000-cycle warranty, while the Security Grille is backed by a three-year or 300,000-cycle warranty.
