Matrix Network Cameras Integrate with Milestone XProtect

The official verification ensures seamless interoperability for enterprise-grade video surveillance within an open-platform environment.

Matrix has achieved native integration of its enterprise network cameras with Milestone XProtect video management software. The integration is now officially verified and included in Milestone’s Supported Devices List, confirming interoperability for system integrators and enterprise customers.

The partnership allows Matrix cameras to function within the XProtect interface without requiring additional middleware or custom plugins. By removing the need for third-party bridges, the integration simplifies the deployment of large-scale surveillance systems and aims to reduce long-term operational risks.

System operators can now access live and recorded video streams directly through the Milestone platform. The integration supports full control of camera features, including pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) operations, and is designed to maintain performance in high-throughput environments such as multi-site enterprises and city-wide networks.

The verification through the Milestone Technology Partner Program is intended to provide a standardized framework for consultants and designers. This open-architecture approach allows organizations to expand their surveillance infrastructure over time while avoiding the limitations of proprietary hardware ecosystems.

Snap One has announced its popular Luma x20 family of surveillance products now offers even greater security and privacy for home and business owners across the globe by giving them full control over integrators’ system access to view live and recorded video. According to Snap One Product Manager Derek Webb, the new “customer handoff” feature provides enhanced user control after initial installation, allowing the owners to have total privacy while also making it easy to reinstate integrator access when maintenance or assistance is required. This new feature is now available to all Luma x20 users globally. “The Luma x20 family of surveillance solutions provides excellent image and audio capture, and with the new customer handoff feature, it now offers absolute privacy for camera feeds and recordings,” Webb said. “With notifications and integrator access controlled through the powerful OvrC remote system management platform, it’s easy for integrators to give their clients full control of their footage and then to get temporary access from the client for any troubleshooting needs.”
