LogicGate Names Diego Panama as Chief Executive Officer

The Chicago-based AI GRC provider announced a leadership transition as co-founder Matt Kunkel moves to the role of executive chairman.

LogicGate announced that Diego Panama will become the company’s chief executive officer in July. Panama, who currently serves as president and chief operating officer, succeeds co-founder Matt Kunkel.

Kunkel will transition to the role of executive chairman. In this capacity, he will oversee capital strategy and strategic partnerships while continuing to advise on the company’s product roadmap.

Panama joined the enterprise B2B firm last year. His appointment comes as the company focuses on "autonomous, orchestrated GRC," a move toward using artificial intelligence to manage governance, risk and compliance functions.

"LogicGate is positioned to be the engine behind that progress, and my focus will be on leveraging my enterprise background to cement LogicGate as the gold standard for the world's largest organizations," Panama said.

The leadership change follows a year of expansion for the company. The global GRC market is projected to exceed $104 billion over the next five years as organizations face increasingly complex regulatory environments and cybersecurity threats.

As part of the transition, co-founder Jon Siegler will take on an expanded role as chief product and technology officer. In this position, Siegler will oversee engineering, information security and product development. Co-founder Dan Campbell will remain in his role as chief architect.

Both Panama and Kunkel are scheduled to appear at the company’s Agility 2026 conference in Chicago this May. Panama will also join the company’s board of directors.
