Securitas Healthcare Acquires ZulaFly to Expand Cloud RTLS

The acquisition integrates a specialized real-time location system platform to enhance staff safety and asset management through the cloud.

ZulaFly, a developer of real-time location system technology and staff safety solutions, has been acquired by Securitas Healthcare. The move aims to bolster the company’s portfolio of cloud-based tracking and protection tools for the healthcare industry.

ZulaFly operates a cloud-based platform designed to provide hospitals with data-driven insights through a centralized architecture. The system is built as a SOC 2 Type II-compliant instance, focusing on standardized data models and simplified system management. This infrastructure is intended to allow healthcare facilities to deploy tracking services quickly while reducing long-term ownership costs.

The integration of ZulaFly’s technology allows Securitas Healthcare to offer more flexible adoption models. While the company continues to support traditional on-premises hardware, the addition of a native cloud platform addresses a growing market shift toward web-based hospital management.

The acquisition also brings ZulaFly’s technical team into the Securitas Healthcare organization. For several decades, the acquiring company has provided visibility and protection solutions, and this latest expansion focuses on accelerating the delivery of analytics and real-time monitoring to global clients.
