Security Industry Executives Report Surge in Business Confidence

A new SIA report shows 80% of surveyed executives rate their current business conditions as good or excellent.

Security industry executives are expressing increased confidence in the market, according to a bimonthly research report released by the Security Industry Association.

The organization’s May–June Security Market Index revealed that 80% of surveyed respondents described business conditions at their companies as positive. Specifically, 19% of those surveyed characterized conditions as excellent, while 61% described them as good.

The findings represent an 8-percentage-point increase in positive sentiment compared to the association's previous March–April survey.

The index evaluates market confidence by analyzing three-month projections across five core business metrics. These components include spending on capital equipment, marketing and research and development, alongside product sales and total employee hours.

The latest report also highlights industry perspectives regarding growth forecasts, inflation, labor market stability and the direct impact of rising prices on security operations. The data includes feedback from security product manufacturers, systems integrators and installation companies.

The full Security Market Index report is available on the association's website.
