Hands holding jigsaw puzzles as business partnership concept

Zeus Fire and Security Acquires Midwest Operator SEi

The acquisition establishes a new regional hub and positions Zeus as the ninth-largest commercial fire and security platform in the nation.

A national security operator has expanded its footprint into the Midwest through a new partnership with an Omaha, Nebraska-based provider.

Zeus Fire and Security announced the acquisition of SEi, a firm specializing in security, fire protection, video surveillance, access control and monitoring solutions. The transaction creates a new regional hub for Zeus, opening up growth opportunities across Nebraska, Iowa and Missouri.

Founded in 1969, SEi designs and supports commercial security environments across the healthcare, education, financial services and government sectors. The company brings a portfolio that features more than 90% commercial revenue and a high rate of customer retention.

With the addition of the Omaha firm, Zeus rises to become the ninth-largest commercial fire and security platform in the United States by revenue. The transaction also provides Zeus with an established regional base to target more than 600 potential future acquisition targets across the Midwest.

Following the acquisition, former SEi Chief Executive Officer Mike Meridith will transition into a new role as senior vice president of corporate development for the Midwest at Zeus. Matt Vellek will continue to lead the regional operations as president of SEi.

Zeus was established in 2022 with a strategy to partner with fire protection and security companies across North America to build a coordinated national network of regional operators.
