Channel Championz Names Roy Miller Special Projects Director

The security hardware specialist appoints an industry veteran to expand its global original equipment manufacturing and Asia-Pacific capabilities.

Channel Championz, a distribution channel development firm for the security hardware industry, has appointed Roy Miller as special projects director.

Miller will manage original design and equipment manufacturing initiatives and specialty project development for global security hardware customers. Based in the Asia-Pacific region, he will oversee operations with manufacturing partners in China, Taiwan and greater Asia to expedite project turnarounds and align customer requirements with factory capabilities.

Miller previously served as president at ASSA ABLOY Mul-T-Lock and director at NAPCO Security Technologies. His experience spans working with locksmiths, institutional buyers, original equipment manufacturers, integrators and end users.

The appointment comes as the security hardware market shifts toward digital credentials, smartphones, biometrics, wearables, monitoring systems and GPS tracking platforms. Miller will support Channel Championz partners with sourcing, manufacturing coordination and product design.

The firm is currently coordinating a custom security hardware project between a U.S. customer, a channel partner and an Asia-based manufacturer. The project involves an immediate design enhancement that will undergo pilot testing before potential large-scale production.

Channel Championz plans to continue supporting manufacturers with sales strategy, distributor relationships and marketing programs while expanding its custom security product development capabilities.
