Zenitel Names David Douglas Southwest Regional Sales Leader

The security communications provider appoints a 31-year law enforcement veteran to head sales operations across four western states.

Zenitel has appointed David Douglas as the regional sales leader for its Southwest territory.

In his new role within the company's Americas Onshore Business Unit, Douglas will oversee sales operations across Arizona, California, Hawaii and Nevada.

Douglas enters the position with an extensive background in the security, public safety, emergency management and public education sectors. Prior to working in the private tech sector, he served for 31 years in Southern California law enforcement, which included deploying as a first responder to the Sept. 11 World Trade Center attacks.

After retiring from public service, Douglas transitioned into business development and sales roles. His previous private-sector experience includes positions with corporate integrator American Integrated Security Group, as well as Motorola's A&E group and its Federal Government and Department of Defense division.

Douglas holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from California State University, Long Beach. He also serves as a board member for Optelligent Market Solutions, a consultancy firm for businesses entering the U.S. physical security sector.

Douglas will operate out of the Reno, Nevada area.
