Allied Universal Executive Pair Raises Over $3 Million for Trafficking Survivors

Annual California fundraiser secures record funding for the nation's only licensed drug treatment shelter for human trafficking victims.

The head of a global security provider and his wife raised a record sum exceeding $3.2 million at an annual event benefiting human trafficking victims undergoing substance abuse recovery.

Allied Universal Global Chairman and CEO Steve Jones, along with his wife Stacy Jones, hosted the Hot Summer Nights fundraiser in Orange County to support Vera’s Sanctuary. The facility offers licensed residential drug treatment specifically tailored for human trafficking survivors between 15 and 26 years old.

The venue operates as the only licensed residential drug treatment shelter of its kind in the United States, offering comprehensive care to help residents recover from addiction and trauma.

More than 700 guests and nearly 100 sponsors attended this year’s gathering. Over the past decade, the annual charity event has generated more than $14.7 million in total contributions.

Women staying at the sanctuary receive 30 hours of therapeutic services each week, alongside housing, meals, healthcare, psychiatric evaluation and transportation. The shelter also provides educational support, vocational training, internship placements and assistance with vehicle access to aid long-term independence.

Residents are permitted to remain at the facility without a maximum length of stay constraints, allowing care to proceed according to individual recovery needs. Since launching services in 2018, the shelter has provided rehabilitation resources to more than 600 women.
