BreachRx has made Out-of-Band Comms available on its Rex Platform for security, legal and executive teams responding to ransomware, identity compromise and business email compromise that disrupt normal communication systems.
BreachRx said the Rex Platform addition combines email and chat with audio and video meeting functions, shared workspaces and mobile access for executives. Response teams can involve approved outside parties, maintain controlled workstreams for legal discussions and retain actions and decisions within the incident record.
Before an incident, organizations can determine who may enter the environment and what they may access. The platform can also support tabletop exercises and simulated response scenarios.
Google Cloud recommends a prevalidated out-of-band platform separated from corporate identity systems so stakeholders and third parties can coordinate if primary communications fail. It also advises testing the channel during recovery exercises using isolated, immutable backups.
