Emergency Safety Solutions, PursuitAlert Partner to Expand Police Pursuit Warnings to Drivers

DigitalSiren alerts will reach motorists through connected navigation apps and vehicle displays.

Emergency Safety Solutions (ESS) and PursuitAlert have integrated their technologies to distribute warnings about police pursuits and emergency responses to motorists through connected navigation apps and vehicle displays.

The companies said the combined system is available to participating public safety agencies in the United States. It connects PursuitAlert’s DigitalSiren technology with ESS’ H.E.L.P. Alert Network.

Equipped agency vehicles generate alerts during pursuits, Code 3 responses and other qualifying events. DigitalSiren provides information about the incident to the network, which distributes the warnings through connected platforms.

According to the companies, the integration is designed to notify approaching drivers before a moving hazard becomes visible. The alerts are intended to give motorists time to adjust their driving as emergency vehicles move through an area.

PursuitAlert develops location-based warnings for public safety incidents. ESS provides digital alerts and vehicle lighting technologies for roadway hazards.
