CACI to Support U.S. Navy's Single Supply Solution Program

CACI International Inc announced recently that it has been awarded an estimated $47.5 million indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract, for one base year and four option years, to provide technical support services to the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) to facilitate the command's support for the U.S. Navy's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Single Supply Solution (SSS) program. The SSS is the Navy's planned single integrated supply and maintenance information system, capable of tracking supply purchases and allocations throughout the Navy enterprise. CACI's role is to provide professional support services to ensure optimal system development. The award increases CACI's support for Navy ERP systems and expands its engineering and logistics area of business.

The goal of the Single Supply Solution program is to provide a unified and secure information system that the Navy can use to monitor the status of naval supplies and equipment anywhere in the world. The SAP(R)-based commercial off-the-shelf software system will give the Navy greater visibility into its assets and improve the efficiency of planning for the purchase, maintenance, and deployment of those assets. Ultimately, the system will assure more timely, cost-effective supply support for America's warfighters.

CACI's role includes helping to deploy the SAP-based system to Navy sites and support system training. CACI will also aid in ensuring data from existing maintenance and supply systems is effectively migrated to SSS, and that the older systems are sustained during this transition.

Bill Fairl, CACI's President of U.S. Operations, commented, "CACI has an outstanding track record of partnering with the U.S. Navy in automating logistics and maintenance processes for cost-wise readiness. For the Single Supply Solution program, we offer proven, enterprise-wide solutions to help the Navy standardize and integrate business processes and decrease life-cycle expenditures. Our support will help the Navy maintain readiness at the highest levels and increase capabilities for the warfighter."

According to CACI President and CEO Paul Cofoni, "CACI is a leader in providing enterprise resource planning solutions for the U.S. Navy. Our ERP capabilities support the Navy's 'transformation' into a leaner and more effective fighting force. We are proud CACI has been selected to help the Navy keep our warfighters equipped and ready to perform their vital missions. CACI's ongoing goal is to provide services and solutions that bring the greatest value to protecting our homeland and defeating terrorism."
