IQ Certification Supports SIAC With Donation
Based on an appeal from the National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association, the IQ Certification program has donated $500 to the Security Industry Alarm Coalition.
NBFAA originally sent the appeal to its state associations, urging them to support SIAC, but IQ felt it was important to pledge its support to SIAC, as well.
“Because SIAC shares many of the same goals as IQ, we felt it was important to support their efforts to reduce unnecessary dispatches, strengthen the lines of communication with law enforcement and promote end-user alarm education,” said Dale Eller, executive director of the IQ Certification program.
IQ Certification is the only dealer-based quality control program for electronic and life safety systems. In order to earn this “seal of approval,” companies must pledge to adhere to a stringent code of ethics and provide top-notch maintenance and service. They also must train their employees in industry recognized programs, meet all licensing requirements and carry proper insurance coverage. Most importantly, companies must demonstrate that they are meeting these requirements annually in order to be re-certified.
