PSA Security Network Honors Vendors

PSA Security Network honored vendors who delivered exceptional service, support, and products to PSA member companies in the past year during the Vendor Appreciation Awards Banquet at the 2008 PSA®-TEC. PSA awarded its highest honor, the Superstar award, to CSC, Network Video Technologies, and TransTech Systems. This is the 15th year CSC has walked away with the Superstar award.

Altronix Corp., Dedicated Micros, deView Electronics, Middle Atlantic Products Inc. and Pelco were given the Star award for providing extraordinary service. Rising Star recipients include first time award winners and those companies who show a continual improvement in their service. This year’s Rising Star winners were Aiphone Corp., Bosch Security Systems, HID Global, Security Lock Distributors, Stentofon (Zenitel) and Winsted Corporation. Vendors in all three of the award categories demonstrate the willingness to consistently go above and beyond for PSA members.

PSA presented Exacq Technologies with the Outstanding New Vendor Award. This award is presented to a vendor who has been with PSA for less than one year and does not qualify for PSA’s Rising Star, Star, or Superstar awards. An Outstanding New Vendor exemplifies the qualities that define PSA Superstars: extraordinary support, quality products, and prompt, reliable customer service.
PSA members and PSA customer service staff rated PSA vendors through a survey conducted by an independent research firm. Scoring was based on seven performance categories: shipping, technical support, customer support, outside sales support, price, product performance, and returns.

During the banquet, held at the Pheasant Run Resort & Spa in St. Charles, Ill., several individuals and teams were recognized for their outstanding commitment to customer service. Penny Borditz of Altronix Corp., Becky Prince of Bosch Security Systems, Tracy Contreras of Pelco, and Mandy Morrah of ScanSource Security Distribution were given individual service awards. PSA presented customer service team awards to Claudia Gualotuna, Zonoe Jalomo, and Pamela Taylor of AMAG Technologies; Tasha Boyden and Tan Gutierrez of CSC; and Carol Ferguson and Frankie Lesell of TransTech Systems.

Outstanding Representation Awards went to Loren Lloyd of AMAG Technology, Jim Sorenson of CSC, and Kristen Byrne of TransTech Systems.

“Vendors play a critical role in the PSA organization; we could not offer opportunities for success to our member companies without them,” said Bill Bozeman, president and CEO of PSA Security Network. “It’s important we show our appreciation to the vendor partners who provide exemplary service. The banquet is our chance to publicly acknowledge and thank them for their role in the success of PSA and PSA’s member companies.”

I have been looking forward to this year’s GSX show in New Orleans, the Cresent City, or if you prefer The Big Easy. It seems like quite a while since we’ve been here. Twenty years ago, ASIS, as it was known then was literally washed out of the city by someone known as Katrina. It is a good thing to come back to NOLA. Read Now

Security Operations Centers (SOC) were once defined by rows of static monitors, each displaying a single feed with operators quietly watching for issues. That model has become obsolete. Incidents evolve too quickly, data comes from multiple locations, and decisions must be made in seconds—not minutes. Read Now
