Securitas USA Receives Awards From ASIS International

Securitas Security Services USA Inc. (Securitas USA) recently announced that it has received a Special Recognition Award from ASIS International at the 2008 ASIS International Seminar in Atlanta.

The award was presented to Securitas USA for its role in promoting the advancement of ASIS International's certification programs among its management and clients.

Securitas USA's Executive Vice President, Rocco L. DeFelice, accepted the award on behalf of the company.

"It is Securitas USA's ambition to encourage and support our managers in their endeavors to grow and develop as exceptional security industry professionals,” DeFelice said. It is this dedication that identifies Securitas USA as a knowledge leader in the security industry."

Also, at this year's meeting, the E.J. Criscouli, Jr. Volunteer Leadership Award was presented to Securitas USA's Stamford, CT Project Manager, Charles E. Kriewald, for his volunteer work in the Southern Connecticut ASIS International chapter.

The award is named in honor of E. J. Criscouli, Jr., former president of ASIS International, who strongly believes that the chapters represent the strength of the organization. The award recognizes the unsung heroes of ASIS International who are always ready to carry out the association's mission on a local level and take on any job that needs doing.

Kriewald accepted the award at a luncheon on Monday at the meeting.

"Serving with Cris (Criscouli) over the years, I know how deeply he valued long term volunteer leadership at both the chapter and regional levels,” Kriewald said. “Chris always reminded everyone that the backbone of the organization was in the chapters. I'd like to thank Tim Williams, ASIS International president, the board of directors, the awards committee and my local and regional officers for their support".

Earlier this year, Securitas USA also received the prestigious Corporate Platinum Award from ASIS International for having the most employees obtain certifications as Certified Protection Professionals (CPP), Physical Security Professionals (PSP) or Professional Certified Investigators (PCI) in 2007.
