ScanSource's IMPACT NOW Show Breaks Attendance Records

ScanSource Inc., a value-added distributor of specialty technology products, hosted more than 1,000 resellers, manufacturers and employees at its IMPACT NOW show in Orlando, Fla. in mid-November.

IMPACT NOW is ScanSource’s event that not only showcases all of the technologies available through the ScanSource, Inc. sales units, but also delivers networking and training opportunities, ensuring resellers leave with new insight and potential new partnerships and opportunities.

The two-day event was the most successful in its history, as resellers had the opportunity to attend training on leadership and loyalty by the Disney Institute, network at an entertaining blowout event at the Hard Rock Live, and hear an informative opening keynote from ScanSource Inc. CEO Mike Baur.

In addition, top executives from the industry’s leading manufacturers took to the show to educate resellers on extremely timely and valuable topics, such as making money in a down economy, building a partner-centric model, and becoming a total service provider.

Attendees were able to visit with more than 100 of ScanSource Inc.’s manufacturer partners during its showroom floor Expo to learn about the latest technology and solution offerings available. Resellers also had a chance to meet Motorola-sponsored IndyCar driver and race winner Danica Patrick.

"We enjoyed our time at IMPACT NOW," said Al Brown, president and CEO, SmartWAVE Technologies, a ScanSource Security reseller partner. “The event was well managed and provided us the opportunity to meet a number of our vendor partners at one location. The sessions also provided us with an opportunity to understand other complementary products that ScanSource distributes that will allow us to increase revenue per customer."

The event was capped off by an insightful address from Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, in which he told the story of Apple, while also relating his business challenges and opportunities to those of the resellers attending.

“The ScanSource IMPACT NOW event was an exceptional outlet for resellers to network and learn about the newest technologies available to them,” Wozniak said. “I had the opportunity to meet many of these resellers and was very impressed by them and by the number of ways ScanSource services and supports them."
