Bosch Announces Nearly 4,000 Customers Trained In 2008

Bosch Security Systems Inc. recently announced it trained nearly 4,000 customers in 2008 -- an increase of more than 40 percent comapred with the number of people who participated in courses the previous year.

“We attribute this significant up tick to a combination of factors,” said Jim Musshafen, director of customer solutions support for Bosch Security Systems. “The growth in adoption of IP-based security systems has created amplified demand for training on these technologies. Additionally, we have been successful in our efforts to make training more accessible to customers -- with new online options and an increase in classroom training courses and facilities in 2008.”

Bosch currently offers 13 online training courses, which can be taken in modules, on demand whenever it is most convenient for the customer. With a range of eLearning offerings, Bosch enables customers to advance their knowledge and expertise without the expense of travel or time away from billable client activities.

At six training facilities spread throughout the country, Bosch also delivers 17 in-depth classroom courses -- each held multiple times throughout the year. Covering various topics on video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection and integrated security systems, many classes focus on the installation, programming and troubleshooting of dependable end-to-end IP systems as well as on solutions for migrating from analog to IP-based systems.

In response to customers’ needs, Bosch will continue to focus on expanding training offerings in 2009 with the introduction of online learning programs featuring simulations and a certified Train the Trainer program.
