SSR Personnel Announces HR Award Finalists

SSR Personnel has chosen the finalists for its Inspiration in HR Award, which recognizes the important role human resources can play in the security industry. SSR's managing director, Peter French, announced the finalists.

Service sectors rely on teams of people across a number of environments, from customer-focused settings through to those that require an in-depth knowledge of technology. Human Resources professionals play a key role in the selection, training and monitoring of thousands of individuals across these different spheres. Now in its third year, the Inspiration in HR Award provides these professionals with the recognition they very much deserve.

This year's Judging Panel included Baroness Henig, Chair of the SIA, Skills for Security Chief Executive David Greer, Una Riley from Professional Security and Brian Sims, Editor of SMT Online and Group Content Editor of UBM Live Division's Security Portfolio, and was chaired by the BSIA's Chief Executive, John Bates.

Short-listed finalists this year included Advance Security (UK); Glevum Security, Derek Martin; and Telefonica O2, Libby Good. The judges commended all the entrants. The winner for 2009 is VSG Security, the award collected by VSG Chairman, Bill Muskin.

Snap One has announced its popular Luma x20 family of surveillance products now offers even greater security and privacy for home and business owners across the globe by giving them full control over integrators’ system access to view live and recorded video. According to Snap One Product Manager Derek Webb, the new “customer handoff” feature provides enhanced user control after initial installation, allowing the owners to have total privacy while also making it easy to reinstate integrator access when maintenance or assistance is required. This new feature is now available to all Luma x20 users globally. “The Luma x20 family of surveillance solutions provides excellent image and audio capture, and with the new customer handoff feature, it now offers absolute privacy for camera feeds and recordings,” Webb said. “With notifications and integrator access controlled through the powerful OvrC remote system management platform, it’s easy for integrators to give their clients full control of their footage and then to get temporary access from the client for any troubleshooting needs.”
