ISC Solutions Replaces ISC East

This fall, professionals from the entire security channel will experience ISC Solutions, a reinvented event to replace the former ISC East event, to take place on Nov. 3-4 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York.

While new product launches take place at ISC West each year in the first quarter, ISC Solutions will present the solutions and applications for those security products for emerging vertical sectors in the fourth quarter. This year, those sectors will be healthcare, retail, education/campus and government.

“As an end-of-year counterpart to ISC West, ISC Solutions adds to the value equation presented by the ISC portfolio,” said Ed Nichols, industry vice president. “It will offer a targeted opportunity for manufacturers to present solutions and applications to their end-user customers in those sectors while continuing to build relationships with dealers and installers who are a vital part of the security channel continuum.”

“Even the show floor will look different,” Nichols said. “The exhibits will be segmented by technology/applications and the introduction of a ‘solutions hub’ in the middle of the show floor will offer organized information and solutions-sourcing.”

The solutions hub will act as a resource center for security end-users incorporating speaking theatres, appointment meeting space and representation from the vertical segments’ associations and stakeholders. Annually, the theme of ISC Solutions will be driven by where the industry is moving and what technologies, segments and products are driving and realizing growth potential for the security industry as defined by the industry.

“We are quite confident that the industry will embrace the repositioning of ISC East into ISC Solutions, “said Richard Chace, CEO of SIA. “When presented to the SIA Board of Directors, the overall sentiment was quite positive. The security industry not only needs a venue to present new products and technologies, it also needs the guidance to best apply them in appropriate solutions for the challenges faced by today’s security professionals.”

“It was critical that we reposition the ISC East event; updating it in order to continue to be relevant to the needs of the security industry,” Nichols said. “As needs change and security challenges become more complex, a solutions-focused event that presents a wide array, is even more critical.”
