NTS Launches Online Version Of Three Education Courses
The Electronic Security Association's National Training School has launched online versions of three of its popular classroom courses: Electronic Access Control (EAC), Video System Technologies (VST) and Troubleshooting, Service and Maintenance (TSM).
"The online versions of EAC, VST and TSM allow students who can't make it to a classroom course or who want to go through the class at their own pace a way to experience the latest NTS courses," said Paul Baran, ESA Education Committee Co-Chair.
Each course is made up of modules that cover key topics, overviews and exercises related to the course content.
"NTS's online training offers additional interactive material to help students absorb the key concepts without the aid of an instructor," Baran said. "It's a great way for students to take these classes."
The online training module from NTS also offers an easy, step-by-step tutorial for those who may be new to, or uncomfortable with online training. The tutorial teaches students how to use the training interface as well as the course components such as interactive lessons, learning bytes, notes and step-by-step animations.
At the end of the course, students perform a skills assessment that reviews the material, and once passed, they are eligible to take a live, proctored exam. Many states accept online training for licensing requirements, but it's important that students verify their state's regulations.
Registration for the online training is $495 per course, with a 40 percent discount available for ESA members.
