Lunarline Hires Cyber Operations Expert Thomas Augustine

Lunarline, Inc. has hired Thomas Augustine, Ph.D., as director of Cyber Security Education. Augustine brings more than 23 years of experience leading projects in the management, design, collection, exploitation and training of telecommunications, networks and systems data.

Prior to retiring from the U.S. Air Force, Augustine held many positions in the management of cyber operations and security including a significant amount of work with Air Force space and missile systems as well as federal system security evaluation at the National Security Agency.

Augustine culminated his Air Force career as an assistant professor at the U.S. Naval Academy where he was the lead designer, developer, and instructor for the Information Assurance curriculum. He was also instrumental in the creation of the Naval Academy's Center for Cyber Security Studies and in the Academy earning the prestigious National Security Agency Center of Academic Excellence designation.

Augustine has authored and presented numerous academic conference and journal articles focusing on the teaching and curriculum development of Information Assurance courses.
