Radiant RFID, PDC Unveil Next Generation of Rewearable RFID Wristbands

Radiant RFID and Precision Dynamics Corporation (PDC) announced the release of a new, rewearable Gen 2 UHF Wristband.

Unlike traditional HF wristbands, the Gen 2 UHF wristband from Radiant RFID has a read range up to four meters. This next-generation wristband is composed of silicone material which enables it to function and be worn for extended periods such as days, weeks and even months. It is intended for RFID tracking applications requiring comfort and long wear such as cruise ships, theme parks, trade shows, festivals and long-term special events.

The Gen 2 UHF wristband is available exclusively through Radiant RFID and PDC, and is offered in more than 20 colors and many sizes, and it supports custom graphics.

The Gen 2 UHF wristband conforms to EPC Radio-Frequency IDentification Protocols Class-1 Generation 2 standards and is compatible with all Gen 2 RFID readers and Radiant RFID's Access Control, Asset Tracking and Evacuation Management solutions.

"The Gen 2 UHF rewearable wristband was designed in response to customer needs and market evolution, and continues Radiant's focus on design and delivery of enterprise-class deployments of RFID equipment and solutions," said Cynthia Rubio, Radiant RFID president and co-founder. "It's comfortable, lightweight and longer-range design makes the Gen 2 UHF wristband an attractive option for customers seeking a stylish and functional RFID solution."
