TAG Company Signs Distribution Agreement for Germany

TAG Company, which provides Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) solutions to the UK retail market, has appointed Draht+Schutz as its exclusive distributor of EASiCap for the German, Austrian and Swiss retail markets. Draht+Schutz Unternehmensgruppe is a major supplier of security equipment, including EAS, CCTV, intruder alarms and access control, with clients that include BP, Rossman, Tegut and Netto.

EASiCap has been well adopted in the UK, providing combined EAS and benefit-denial protection for wines, spirits and champagne. It is used by many leading retailers in the grocery sector. Its simple method of application and detaching maximizes store efficiencies, while its clear plastic cap and gray collar makes it a non-obtrusive solution that does not dominate the aesthetics of the beer, wine and spirits aisle.

TAG’s director of business development said, “The European retail market is huge and, with EASiCap, it’s felt that we have a product that easily translates across the countries. With the UK market well-established for this type of product, now is the time to expand and, with Draht+Schutz, we’ve found a partner with strong relationships directly into retail which is crucial.”

“We’re looking forward to work with Tag Company,” said Ralf Becker, CEO of Draht+Schutz Unternehmensgruppe. “EASiCap is an important part of our EAS product range and certainly will become a success in our markets."

TAG’s existing customers in Germany, Switzerland and Austria will continue to have access to EASiCap via Draht+Schutz.

The security industry spans the entire globe, with manufacturers, developers and suppliers on every continent (well, almost—sorry, Antarctica). Recent data privacy regulations like GDPR in Europe and CPRA in California made waves when they first went into effect, forcing businesses to change the way they approach data collection and storage to continue operating in those markets. Even highly specific regulations like the U.S.’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) can have international reverberations – and this growing volume of legislation has continued to affect global supply chains in a variety of different ways.
